Substrate and dome sterilization

Date :12th june  and 13th june

Sterilization:                                                      

For growing mushrooms in beds of wheat straw,substrates should be free of any raw material. That's why the straw are sterilized with some chemicals.After sterilization of straw the dome is sterilized with some amount of chemicals. 

                        
Proportions of chemicals with water for sterilization :

1.For straw sterilization.
   Water =250 lit.                                                             

   Formaldehyde solution=250 ml.                      

   Bavistine =16 gm.

                                          

 2.For dome sterilization.                                  

    Water =5 lit.                                                       

     Formuline solution =8 ml.                             

     Bavistine =5 gm.
